Syamala and Swarnalatha Devarapu STEM Scholarships
Technological scholarship
As stated in the Foundation's Statutes, we promote the training and access of women to STEM careers. For example, in Spain only 16% of STEM professionals are women and very few teenage girls, 0.7%, are interested in studying a degree related to digital technologies compared to 7% of men.
The two scholarship students, of Indian nationality, are from a very low social stratum, and with the scholarship we cover their studies, accommodation and living expenses, including medical care and medicines, if necessary. The project includes a one-year internship at our facilities in Spain at the end of their university studies.
